The 1st edition of Alhambra USA International Guitar Competition took place in Dallas on 24th and 25th April 2010.

In this edition 6 people were accepted as semi-finalists, with the first prize awarded to Eduardo Minozzi Costa. The members who made up the panel of judges were Geoff Ferdon, Philippe Bertaud, Carlo Pezzimenti and Paul Cortese.

The finalists played two self-chose pieces and one set piece.

For fist prize, Eduardo was awarded an Alhambra Linea Profesional guitar, 50 sets of D’Addario strings, D’Addario/Planet Waves accessories, and a tour of concerts.

The next competition will take place in 2011, also in Dallas, TX.
